A First Look at the Artists Joining Our Upcoming Show in Athens, Greece

As we prepare for our upcoming exhibition, we are excited to share a first glimpse of the creative voices and visual narratives that we received from artists across the world. Our selection process brings forward a diverse group of artists whose practices challenge, inspire, and expand the way we experience contemporary art.

Our curatorial team has reviewed submissions and engaged in conversations with creators whose work reflects a broad range of perspectives — from emerging talents to established names. The result is a carefully curated collection of artworks that highlight innovation and a strong sense of artistic identity.

Our Selection Approach

When choosing the artists and artworks for this exhibition, we focused on:

  • Originality — unique artistic language and approach

  • Technical strength — mastery of medium and material

  • Emotional or conceptual depth

  • Relevance — how the work speaks to contemporary conversations

  • Diversity of voices — a rich and balanced mix of styles and backgrounds

We believe that the exhibition will offer visitors a dynamic experience that reflects both the individuality of each artist and the dialogue created when their works come together in one space.

Errikos Melahris

Errikos Melahris is a Greek painter working in contemporary portraiture. His practice centres on intense, close-cropped faces that hold the viewer in direct confrontation. In this work, controlled realism meets stylised distortion — exaggerated features, sculptural light, and a deep crimson ground that amplifies psychological tension.

The vertical gold script introduces a symbolic layer, contrasting softness with authority and intimacy with distance. Melahris’ portraits feel cinematic yet intimate, balancing vulnerability with quiet defiance. His work explores identity not as surface likeness, but as emotional structure.

Tijana Duric

Tijana Duric is a contemporary abstract artist based in Greece, working across acrylic, resin, plaster, and polyurethane on canvas and handmade wooden panels. Her practice is defined by a meticulous layering process, where material becomes both surface and structure.

Drawing inspiration from nature — particularly the element of water — Duric builds compositions that feel fluid yet grounded. Textures shift between translucency and density, creating movement within stillness. Each work balances control and release, reflecting landscapes not as literal depictions, but as emotional terrains.

Working independently from start to finish, she approaches each piece as an immersive process of construction and refinement. Her works are held in private collections in Greece and internationally.

Despina Costalas

Despina Costalas is a Greek-American artist working between the UK and Greece. Her practice moves across documentary and fine art photography, grounded in storytelling, research, and alternative analogue processes. Through image-making, she explores culture, migration, and human expression — approaching photography as both documentation and social inquiry.

Holding an MSc in International Social and Public Policy from the London School of Economics, Costalas brings a research-led sensitivity to her visual work. Her background in political science and photojournalism informs projects that sit at the intersection of narrative, identity, and lived experience.

Her work has been exhibited internationally, including in New York, Rome, Athens, Washington DC, and Philadelphia. Alongside her artistic practice, she co-directs cultural initiatives connecting Greek-American creatives, building platforms that support collaboration and cultural continuity.

Viktoria Patsaki

Viktoria Patsaki is a Greek artist whose practice has been shaped between Greece and Melbourne, Australia. Moving abroad at a young age exposed her to new communities and perspectives, deepening her commitment to pursuing art professionally.

Now based again in Greece, her work reflects a dialogue between cultures and lived experience. Through image-making, she seeks connection — using visual language as a way to exchange stories, emotions, and personal narratives.

At 22, Patsaki approaches her practice with openness and curiosity, positioning art as both expression and conversation.
