Please introduce yourself and your artistic practice. How would you describe the work you create?
I’m Nadezhda Siuzeva, a Florida-based abstract acrylic painter. My work explores color, movement, balance, and texture through layered compositions and rhythmic forms. I’m drawn to the relationship between structure and fluidity, creating paintings that feel both calm and energetic.
Through bold colors, textured surfaces, and flowing shapes, I aim to create visual experiences that bring a sense of atmosphere, emotion, and contemporary beauty into a space.

What ideas, experiences or themes most influence your work?
My work is influenced by color, movement, balance, and the emotional atmosphere of a space. I’m fascinated by how abstract forms can communicate both energy and calm at the same time.
Much of my inspiration comes from natural light, changing moods, and the visual language of contemporary interiors. I explore how color can transform a space and create feelings of warmth, clarity, reflection, or quiet energy.
At the heart of my practice is the idea that abstraction can feel intentional yet open-ended, structured enough to create harmony, while still allowing personal interpretation.

Tell us about one artwork that feels especially important to you and the story behind it.
Sunrise is especially meaningful to me because it represents a feeling I return to throughout my work: the relationship between light, energy, color, and balance.
The sun-like center became the anchor of the piece, while the surrounding layers were created to suggest expansion, rhythm, and renewal. I was inspired by the idea of creating something that feels both uplifting and calming.
The combination of warm and cool colors reflects a balance between energy and stillness. For me, this artwork represents how color can hold emotion, create atmosphere, and transform a space with a feeling of quiet optimism.

What does your creative process usually look like—from the first idea to the finished piece?
My creative process often begins in my dreams, where I see images, colors, and compositions before I begin painting.
Sometimes I start without a fixed plan, allowing the artwork to develop intuitively as I work. I trust this process as a form of guidance, letting the painting reveal its own direction.
The final piece feels discovered rather than forced — a transition from an inner vision into a physical artwork.
What are you currently working towards, and what would you like audiences to take away from your work?
I’m currently working toward creating abstract paintings that feel both visually compelling and deeply calming. I continue to refine my artistic voice while exploring new relationships between color, form, and emotion.
I hope viewers experience a sense of beauty, presence, and quiet energy when they encounter my work. My goal is for people to feel that abstract art can be expressive and grounding — something that invites reflection while bringing life and atmosphere into a space.
