ON THE WORK OF JULIA KRZYKWA JENSEN
Julia Krzykwa Jensen is a Copenhagen-based fine art photographer whose practice centres on self-portraiture, emotion, and psychological presence.
Drawing from personal experiences with anxiety and PTSD, her images move through darkness, vulnerability, and quiet resilience without becoming overly descriptive.
Rather than offering fixed narratives, the work remains open and atmospheric. Gesture, light, and composition become tools for reflecting on grief, womanhood, memory, and the emotional weight carried within the body.
There is a stillness in the images that asks the viewer to slow down and remain attentive.
