A Practical Art Walk Through Paris Before Our November Show

Arrival Gallery returns to Paris 6–8 November 2026 at 55 Rue du Mont-Cenis, 75018 (Montmartre). Free tickets are on Eventbrite. If you are already planning the weekend around the opening, it helps to know which gallery districts are easy to pair with a Montmartre evening—and which spaces are actually open with a current programme.

This guide sticks to galleries and artist-run spaces with a current programme on their own sites at the end of October 2026. Hours change; always confirm on the gallery’s site the morning you go.

Why start in the Marais

The Marais (3rd and 4th arrondissements) remains one of the densest walks for commercial contemporary galleries in central Paris. Several long-running spaces publish current exhibitions and Tuesday–Saturday hours on their sites.

Thaddaeus Ropac — Paris Marais

Thaddaeus Ropac’s Marais gallery is at 7 rue Debelleyme. The gallery’s site lists Paris Marais hours as Tuesday–Saturday (commonly 10:00–19:00 on public listings). Entry to commercial gallery exhibitions here is typically free. It is a reliable “first stop” if you want a large, well-lit programme without booking.

Perrotin

Perrotin operates spaces on and near rue de Turenne / Impasse Saint-Claude. Check the live exhibition list on perrotin.com before you walk over—programmes rotate, and the site is the source of truth for what is on the walls that week.

Galerie Derouillon

Galerie Derouillon runs rooms including Étienne Marcel (13 rue de Turbigo, 75002) and Haut Marais (38 rue Notre Dame de Nazareth, 75003). As of late October 2026 the gallery’s site advertised group exhibitions with stated closing dates into November, and listed Étienne Marcel hours as Wednesday–Saturday, 14:00–19:00. Useful if you prefer a shorter afternoon loop rather than a full Marais day.

Practical tip: Marais galleries often close on Sunday and Monday. If your Arrival ticket is for a Sunday afternoon, do the Marais on Friday or Saturday instead.

Cross the north-east: Belleville

If you want artist-run energy rather than blue-chip rooms, head to Belleville.

Ateliers d’Artistes de Belleville (AAB)

The AAB gallery programme (1 rue Francis Picabia, 75020) publishes dated exhibitions with vernissage times. In late October 2026 the programme listed a José Cerezo and LY-Rose exhibition running through 8 November 2026, with gallery hours given as Thursday–Sunday, 14:00–19:00. That window overlaps Arrival’s Paris show weekend—confirm on the AAB page before you travel, as artist-run schedules shift.

Belleville pairs well with a late afternoon in Montmartre: you are already on the right side of the city for Rue du Mont-Cenis.
